Zeltiq® Coolsculpting is an FDA approved non surgical procedures, no needles, non invasive treatment used to spot reduce fatty tissue or bulges. It gently and effectively reduces fat in targeted treated areas. It eliminates fat cells by freezing them, causing a natural and gradual programmed cell death (termed apoptosis) and does not harm surround tissues or skin. There is no downtime or recovery after the treatment session. Please do not confuse Coolscuplting by Zeltiq with Zerona. They are completely different devices. The Zerona device is not and never will be offered at our practice. Unlike Zeltiq, the Zerona has a very low patient satisfaction rate, including many complaints describing poor and/or inconsistent results on several review sites.
